Our Story
Logos Speech Therapy was founded by Anastasia Georgiou-Ajmera. It has been in business in the United States since 2009. Logos Speech Therapy LLC is currently located in downtown Jersey City, and Somerset County, New Jersey. We deliver exceptional quality services to individuals facing speech-language related impairments. Our number one priority is to ensure that you leave Logos Speech Therapy having learned to fully express yourself and thus making it easier for you to effectively communicate with people around you.
Owner - Anastasia Georgiou-Ajmera, MS, CCC-SLP
Mrs. Anastasia Georgiou-Ajmera graduated from San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders. She obtained her Master in Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Anastasia completed her external practicum, and clinical fellowship in various settings in New Jersey and New York. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). In the recent years, Anastasia has received continuing education units and certificates in the areas of Early Intervention, The Ordering of Milestones in Language Development for Children from One to Six Years of Age, Speech Sound Disorders, Language and Literacy, Coding For Reimbursement, Private Practice, Aphasia, Tracheostomy Management, Dysphagia Management, MBS: The Clear Pricture, Vital Stim Electrical Stimulation, Lee Silverman Voice Therapy, and Speech Therapy Telepractice.
Anastasia is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist who is fluent in Greek, English and is semi-fluent in Spanish. In the last ten years, she has gained experience working with monolingual and bilingual children, adolescents, and adults in the areas of speech, language, communication, cognition, augmentative and alternative communication, voice and diction, cleft lip and palate, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders. Anastasia has worked as a speech-language pathologist in medical settings, educational settings, telepractice, and home care in New Jersey and New York City, New York. Furthermore, she has gained experience in the medical setting, in a non-profit multi-disciplinary therapy organization, and provided private speech therapy services in her country, Cyprus.
